Rob Welch
Photographer - Universal Photo Inc.

Rob loves all types of photography. After College and the Army, Rob attended Miami Photography College at Miami Beach, and then attended Brooks Institute of Photography in Santa Barbara, Ca. He also has a degree in Architectural Drafting and Design.
He started his photographic career in 1965 as the advertising coordinator and photographer for the local newspaper in Lawrenceville, Ga. After arriving to Utah in 1975, he managed an “in house” print shop for a large company as their printer, graphic artist and photographer. He later became the staff photographer and graphic artist for the Utah State Historical Society, and was there for many years. He has photographed every home and every landmark in many historical districts throughout Utah. He has also worked as the staff photographer for the magazine, Utah Preservation, and has had many covers published.
Rob’s work has been locally published, and he has contributed his photographic expertise to published authors, as well. He has judged many photo competitions, and was a “Day’s of ’47 Parade” float judge for 8 years. Rob has a strong background in Architectural, Commercial and Industrial photography, but he also likes to shoot products, events, action sports, real estate, and animals. He will shoot anything related to motorcycling, which is one of his passions.
Rob goes to great lengths to get “the shot”, and he expects his photographic work to be exactly what the client wants. He is a freelance professional photographer, based out of Salt Lake City, Utah.
